Learning to Drive

Seeing how I am probably one of the greatest drivers to ever drive this earth I thought it to be time for the little one to get some lessons.  The first driving lesson took place about a month ago in the kitchen.  It was a sort of fast and furious lesson that I deemed to be appropriate for a 6 month old.

She survived that experience which is a good thing and then today she got to go outside for a ride since Al Gore's global warming has the temperature at about 55 degrees here in Ohio.

I'm sure that most of you are much more comfortable watching that video since Kimberly had us all under control.  She pretty much won't let me play anywhere that I might be able to get close to full speed. She insisted on driving this time because Adeline has too much fun (and comes too close to certain death) when I am in charge of the gas pedal.

I guess that the casual observer would think that this is the face of a happy baby after a drive around the block but I just can't help to see the disappointment hidden deep in those big blue eyes.  Poor little girl.  Maybe next time when your momma isn't around we'll take the dog on a run around the neighborhood.

Happy 7 Months Baby Girl!

We can't believe our little angel is 7 months old today. She has such the personality these days. Her vocabulary has grown to Oscar (of course), hi, da-da, doggie. Still working on mama. We've also been practicing signing for more and please, although she thinks an open mouth means more. She loves playing with her toys and has started dancing to music. Her singing/screaming/squealing is hilarious and her laughter lights up the room. Mommy has been monitoring the flying lessons since her video debut with daddy. Her legs are getting stronger and is able to stand but is still pretty unbalanced. She has no interest in crawling yet...we think she's going to walk before she crawls. She is still sleeping 12+ hours at night with 2 hour naps during the day. She makes our hearts melt with that pretty smile of hers. Adeline is truly a blessing to us and there isn't a day that goes by that we don't thank God for her.

Scream!

No, not Scream, or Scream (1,2,or3), or even The Scream.  This is Adeline's version of all those combined and she has been calling it SCREAM!!!  It's also known as screech or squeal.  No, not that Screech.  Nice try though.

Sorry about it being a little dark.  As you can tell Adeline has been battling some stage fright and also the light kicks up the dust in our house causing her allergies(or was it because her tonsils were inflamed?) to go crazy which definitely hurts her singing voice.  Excuses, excuses.  Looks like a Diva with a capital D to me.

Supa Fly?

That's right.  This kid loves to fly and on this particular day when her mother was at work she wanted to record her exploits to share with the world.

Supa Fly?  Probably not.  Supa Dupa Fly?  I believe that is correct and Missy Elliott agrees.  Beep beep, who got the keys to the jeep?

Happy Bird-Day Nanny!!!

First Word

Ma ma, mom mom, da da, bye, hi, ba...these are a few common words first spoken by babies. We assumed Adeline would follow suit in saying at least da da or ma ma, or at least ma or da. Boy, were we wrong. Adeline thought it would be fitting to say the name of her very best friend. Oscar. One name, one cat, one heartbroken, yet very proud, mommy. It is quite possibly the cutest thing she's done since being born on Father's Day.

Shoot the Shooter?

Yep, that's right folks.  Shoot the shooter strikes again.  This time the shooter(s) really thought they were being sly by not actually shooting but hiding away in their new home but I sought them out with my trusty navigator/assistant/2nd shooter of shooters and we really nailed them.

If you look real hard you can see one Mr. Justin attempting to peer out through the blinds.  GOTCHA!!!

I also have these pictures in the archives.  Aunt Tweed was trying to be all cool and take some nice photos with her camera with the giant lens on it so I decided I would snipe her.

Also, the Bay-dog has been a little jealous of Roon Doggy Dawg because of his newfound internet fame so she begged me to take a picture of her and post it.  She just arrived back home after spending a mind-numbing 10 days at mom and pop's casa.  Believe it or not she only ate a couple of potatoes, a pineapple, and some salt for the water softener.  It was a pretty good week for the super pup but it surely did tucker her out.

More news and games to come tomorrow.  Stay tuned.

Heartbreaker

Mr. Oscar the Roonie I'm not so Loonie Lloyd is one heck of a heartbreaker.  I'll wait for Kimberly to tell the story about that one because Mrs Lloyd is definitely dying from a broken heart as of last night.  Until then here is a picture of Romeo.

This feller is Adeline's best friend.  Here is some bonus footage for the new year.  While everyone else's flights were being grounded Adeline was flying high.
A kiss before the takeoff because you just never know how these things are going to turn out.

Flying high and loving every minute of it.  I think that she might take after Nathanael and be a pilot.  Either that or she is going to join the circus.

And finally she is back on the ground after a smooth landing.  She's a pro folks.

Now for some important business.  That last Mad Gab race for a billion was answered correctly.  Do you believe in magic was the answer.  Get ready to play again.  Here is the phrase.  Bow Cat Ha Clumpy Ha
