For those of you who follow this blog and are totally unfamiliar with our lives (I'm sure this number is nearing 3-4 billion people by now) I will give you a brief overview to allow you to catch up. Kimberly and I were married on December 16, 2006. We live in Grove City with our dog Bailey, our cat Oscar Roonie, many fishes, and we will soon be adding a small human. Here are a few of the things that have been keeping me busy over the past few years.....

I am transitioning from 2nd to 3rd year in vet school so I have done nothing much more than read about strange animal diseases and other things of that sort that I will undoubtedly never see. I will however be an excellent phone-a-friend on "WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE" if any of you ever get on.




























This is another thing that keeps me quite busy. I enjoy spending time outside trying to get flowers to grow. This most likely stems from high school when Rami Yoakum did an article about me for the paper and I told him that I was the Rachel Ray of horticulture. I should get this lying thing under control.


My most recent project has consisted of some David Blaine-like tricks.....





I have transformed this beautiful woman, the love of my life, into this..........................................................................................











................................................................the XL version of the same woman!!!!! I know, I know, pretty impressive. Please remember that this is actually the same woman and no, I am not using photoshop or mirrors or anything. This is true magic. I'm thinking that in about two weeks or so I will probably change her back the the XS version but I am growing pretty fond of this one here. This is Kimberly's 38 week photo. Beautiful!

The Kings

I wanted to share a little about what the King family is up to these days. As most of you know, my dad has been battling with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma for a while now. He had been in remission for a few years until this past fall. He then went through about 6 months of chemo. The mass near his aorta only shrank about another 5% since he started. Starting May 22 he will be undergoing a stem cell transplant at James Cancer Center at OSU. They will blast him with chemo for about 5 days then take the donor's stem cells and tranfuse them into dad. He will have to be cooped up in a hospital room, with very little visitors, anywhere between 3 and 5 weeks until he's strong enough to come back home. Therefore, please keep him and our family in your prayers as we all try to get him through this. And of course, the main thing he is worried about is being home when our baby is born. My pops is truly an inspiration to me and I would never be who I am today without him!

We had our 32 week appointment today. The doctor was trying to listen to the heartbeat, but every time he'd hear it, the baby would move. He said, "That baby sure is crazy!" It has been so active this week! We have an ultrasound in 2 weeks and we'll get to find out how much he or she weighs. The baby is breech right now, but he said as much as it moves, it's no big deal. I can't believe we have less than 8 weeks to go! Also, we thought we would share our names with you all...Oliver Knox for a boy and Adeline (Addy) Reese or Mae (or many others) for a girl! Hope all you mommas had a great Mother's Day!

We're hitting the 30 week mark this week! We can't believe how fast this is going! Only 10 more to go. Every night we try to picture ourselves with a baby next to us on the couch or in bed and it just seems so unreal right now. We cannot be more excited to add another Lloyd to the crew! He/she is going to be one rotten child though...based on all the movement going on in my belly. And of course, based on his or her father. We would love to hear your guesses on the sex! About 98% of people we know have guessed boy. The heart rate has been in the upper 120s to lower 130s for all you old wives' tale folk. Here's the bump at 30!
We also wanted to show what our rotten dog does when mommy leaves for work. I guess pregnancy pillows work for dogs too!

Oscar was jealous and wanted to keep baby warm.

Today was dedicated to our little peanut. After much debate and planning, we finally decided to paint the nursery! The first picture is the before followed by our day #1 progress. The only part left to do is finish the crown molding on top. And of course, fill it with furniture. A special thank you goes out to Grandma, Aunt Meg, and Nanny for helping us get the perfect nursery ready! We never would have gotten past the stripes without you! Baby Lloyd loves you all!
